Rider, 54, of Thorndale, a native of Bellefonte, died at Paoli Memorial Hospital, Chester County, Friday (Dec. 19, 1986) tat 4:50 a.m. He was employed by Norwood Industries of Malvern. A sergeant in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict, he was a member of the American Legion Post in Spring City. Mr. Rider was born April 22, 1932, in Bellefonte, a son of Reuben and Dorothy King Rider. In 1969, he married the former Etta M. McMurtrie, who survives. Also surviving are five daughters: Susan Voznia of Snow Shoe, Judy Davy of Selinsgrove, June DeFurio of Huntingdon, Debra McClusick of Grassflat and Terry Migdal of Thorndale; a sister, Martha Corl of Bellefonte; a brother, Robert of York; and 9 grandchildren. Funeral services will be at Ralston and Bredizkas Funeral home, Downingtown, today at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Richard M. Wolfe officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville. Friends will be received at the funeral home today from 1 p.m. until the time of services."
